breakthrough vs period

Im almost 8 weeks PP and EBF. My little man doesn't make stretches longer than 4 hours a night so I'm still emptying my breasts very often. I started micronor, the mini pill, a week ago and started bleeding this am. Is this breakthrough bleeding or period?

If it's period is this going to affect my milk??

And if it's period micronor is probably not strong enough to protect again future pregnancy correct??
