Straight man told me I need to marry a man 🙄

So last night I was walking my dog and this man smoking on the street stopped me to say hi to my pup. He seemed super friendly and I didn't get any creepy vibes from him because he was mostly asking questions about the pup.
And then he told me how beautiful I was and that he bets I get a lot of attention from guys at parties. I took the compliment, but felt a bit uncomfortable and tried to go back to talking about my dog and he flat out asks me "wait, are you straight?" I say "no." And he goes "that's just because you haven't found the right man yet. You need a man who will let you go off and be with women whenever you want...but you need to marry a man to have that conventional family because you got a child-bearing body and you need to produce children." I just say "ok" because it doesn't seem worth it to fight with this random man in his 50s (I'm 27 btw). He continues to go on and on about how I should marry a rich man as a business decision, but one who will be cool with me being in an open relationship.
Then he tells me he can't tell what ethnicity I am and that men find me mysterious and that's a good thing. I just laughed it off and tried to walk away but he touched my arm and was like "c'mon just tell me what ethnicity you are...you can tell I'm black, I'm not hiding that." And I'm just like "I'm a mix of some things...Jewish being one of them." And he says "oh wow you don't have a big nose!" Aaaaand that was the final straw and my cue to leave. I finally say I have to go and he grabs my arm and says, "You've gotta give this earth some children and you need to do it conventionally. That will make everyone happy...especially the man who gets you." Then he gave me his business card (which was for some entertainment company lol).
BUT OK HOW DO I STOP BEING SO NICE AND FRIENDLY TO PEOPLE? I GOT STUCK THERE FOR 15 MINUTES NOT ABLE TO JUST LEAVE.
Also, should I have stood up for myself and told him I'm in a loving relationship with a woman and he can fuck off? I just get scared sometimes that someone's gonna be super homophobic and do something crazy if I'm honest. Ughhhh. It was just awful, though.
