When should you get engaged? (Minimum)

My man wants to ask me to marry him. Been together a year. What would you guys do?

I think it depends upon the people in the relationship. And if they're both ready to make that commitment.

Completely depends on the couple. I've seen people married within months. I've been with my boyfriend for 4 years. And feel Ill go another 3 before marriage. No rush 🙃

Oops.. voted wrong.. I meant to put 3+ years.. I just feel like it's best to take time to get to know the person before making a huge decision to settle down like that.. though obviously, nobody has to get married to be in a committed relationship.. in any relationship, getting serious and settling down should take time.. I've been with my boyfriend for 2 years, officially this Monday❤️ and we still learn new things about each other and our families or interests or goals or dreams everyday.. idk, I'm just the type of person who likes to take my time... but I'm also still a baby and about to turn 21 a week from today.. I can see how it could be different for a couple who's older and ready to start a family and in the financial state to do so.. that won't be me for quite a while.. I want to  reach my goal of at least starting my dream vegan bakery before thinking about getting hitched cuz I want to start a family soon after getting married and also want a huge wedding!!

We got engaged at 6 months, married on our one year anniversary, and this September marks 3 years of marriage. We are incredibly happy together and our marriage is stronger than a lot of other couples I know who waited much much longer. My grandparents got married 3 months into their relationship and have been married for 45 years now. My mom waited 2 years the first time and 3 years the second and both ended in divorce. My brother has been with the girl 6 years and married 2 and they fight constantly and always look for ways to spend time with others instead of each other. When it's right. It's right. Period.

Me and my husband started dating seriously 3 days after we meet, got married  1 month and 4 lays later. We have a very happy and loving marriage. I think it depends on every couple
