Did sex put YOU into labor?!?

Question

I am 38 weeks this week, and am more than ready for this baby to come. I've done some research, and have heard from multiple people that sex...and sperm can help induce labor. Did this work for you? Hubby of course wants to practice and see if it works for his own selfish reasons...lol...and I just want it to jump start labor!

It didn't work with previous pregnancies, but we are still trying! Tonight he said I want to thank the guy who made up this myth! 😂

I tried using sex to get me into labor at 40 weeks and 4 days.... I mean we tried hard! 😂😂 it didn't work for me.

I was later told that it's not sex necessarily that makes you go into labor, it's the sperm that eats away the mucus plug. I could totally be explaining his wrong!!

My first pregnancy I had a membrane strip at 40+2 and I had sex, I started contracting within the hour. My second pregnancy I went in labor a few hours after sex at 37+1. My third it didn't do a thing, I played a jump rope game at one of those pizza arcades and that moved me into labor. This pregnancy, idk if it'll do the trick or not.

Hi! It worked for us at 39 weeks :) after sex on the Weds (hubby's idea) I lost my plug the next day and then contractions started Friday evening. I was also having acupuncture to soften cervix, as wanted to avoid being induced. Good luck!!

I would say yes in my case but I was 39 weeks also walked as frequently as I could my last month of pregnancy..... The night we did it I immediately felt pressure in my lower back but nothing bad the morning I woke up I lost my mucus plug and contractions got stronger eventually I went to the hospital and my baby was born St. Patrick's day lol I mean I doesn't hurt to try unless your doctor instructed you not to have sex!
