TTC and work
Hello ladies!
I want to ask your opinion on a situation.
I'm 36 and just started TTC..I'm in my 2nd month of ttc.
Yesterday I had a job interview with an institution I'd love to work for..would be like my dream job. They said they're very interested but that the testing process might take a while - like 4-6 months of various tests, written, psychological and so on.
My problem now it this: should I stop ttc? It's tearing me apart. I want a baby, it's finally time and I'm with a guy with whom it finally feels right to do this. But if I do get pregnant during the job testing...I'm pretty sure that'll mean it's over for the job.
Should I pause ttc until I sign a contract with them? But that'll be like 6 months in the event I pass all tests. And if I don't pass?? 6 months of lost for a potential pregnancy. 😤
Should I continue ttc anyway since many ladies say it takes at least 6 months - 1 year to conceive anyway?
I'm torn...if I could've signed right away with them it wouldn't have been a problem but these 4-6 months of tests that give me no guarantee...even though it is a job that would take all my worries away until retirement type of thing. Secure, good money, doing what I studied for, professional recognition and so on...but ...but a baby... 😭😔
Sorry about the rant but I need some outside views...I've been torturing myself with this
