So when it comes to setting up the baby nursery my dad (whos really handy and can paint, build furniture, etc) has been giving me good ideas and showing me furniture he can build and when I told some women in my family they said "its your first baby I really doubt you're gonna do all that for the nursery the baby wont even remember it" and than another one said "a nursery is a waste of money just paint the walls pink and put the babies stuff in there" ugh why cant they just let my dad and I do what we have planned? Money isnt an issue and this is the only baby I plan on having so I'd like to do something special. I could even reuse the room theme for when she gets older. Its not like I'm buying expensive things or doing anything crazy 😒

Did anyone else get negative opinions on the nursery?
