Can i use my birthday as a baby shower?

OK, so this is baby #5, and my second boy. Now my husband and i weren't planning on having another but surprise we are pregnant and very happy about it. I got rid of all of our baby stuff because we had a tiny apartment and my son outgrew everything!

My question is that my birthday is July 28, and baby is due at the end of August, so could I just ask for diapers and onesies for baby? We already have a bassinet an some small essentials. But we haven't stocked up on any diapers and only have maybe 3-4 outfits.

I dont ever really celebrate my bday anymore as I'm gonna be 29 lol.

So can I just use my bday as a way to get stuff for baby?
