CoParenting under one roof?

Is anyone coparenting but NOT in a relationship? I am and wondering how Is working for you?

For 5mths after my 10mth old was born my SO and I weren't together, but we still celebrated holidays together and he slept over one night a week on the weekend. We went on family get aways together. We were both single though. It made life easier.  We are back together now though. 5mths strong and doing great thankfully. Co-parenting is great when you make the effort to get along.

My husband was living with his ex raising their daughter. It was more he was raising the baby though and she was going out to party and working constantly. I lived there a few months too and that was super fun (extreme sarcasm). I wouldn't say it worked but it was easier having both parents in the same house because there was a more uniform discipline and expectations of behavior. Now we all live separate and it's super obvious mom isn't caring for her daughter like she should and when my step daughter comes over we have lots of behavioral issues because mom let's get do whatever she wants.

My ex husband and I co parent. We have been divorced for 6 almost 7 years and our son spends his time 50/50. We do one week on and one week off. Add in my current husband who is possibly more involved than his real dad when it comes to being responsible. It has taken us years to get to this point, it wasn't easy and it takes a lot of patience and realizing the child comes first and not feelings or hate. My child is very well rounded, kind and loving and it's because there is no pressure between both of his homes and he has the best of both worlds. On Mother's Day he told me he was glad that his dad and I got divorced and that he loves his life. Our co parenting isn't perfect or a model relationship but it works for us. The only time it doesn't is when his dad gets a new girlfriend.
