Bright red period blood

So I started my period about 6 days ago and it was bright red. I thought it was normal cause it was possibly "new blood", however, it's been 6 days and it's still bright red. It's not heavy, but I would say it's not light either. I have had my period be bright red before but not for this long.. When I wipe, there is a decent amount of blood, but it hardly ever gets on the pad unless I don't use the bathroom for a very long time.. Also, I don't have any cramps either. I have no insurance so I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what it is or what to do.. I am not sure if it's because of anxiety, a hormone imbalance, an infection, or I'm literally dying.. I'm also having a very hard time with this because I'm such a hypochondriac.
