How many bags?

Question

I can't decide if I wanna bring the diaper bag plus my bag to the hospital or put all of my baby's stuff in my bag since it's big enough. Did you have separate bags or one big bag?

I will have my bag and my sons diaper bag with his stuff so I'll have two bags I'm not worried about it

I just plan on bringing things for mainly me this time around. Last year I over packed for the baby and had hardly anything for myself. All I plan to pack for baby is a couple of "going home" outfits.
For myself I plan to pack more comfortable outfits for myself.
Last time I only packed one outfit and a nightgown and I was there 4 nights, so that was pretty obnoxious. Don't worry so much about baby they have EVERYTHING there. Diapers, formula, breastfeeding stuff, blankets, wipes etc.

I would go with one bag. We had 2 bags and were sent home with items from the hospital, so it took my SO and extra trip to the car just to take our stuff home. I would also recommend don't over pack. I seriously way over packed and I just did 3 outfits (which the hospital wouldn't even let me change into) for me and my SO. Honestly, I would say if it's planned just wear a simple dress to the hospital that you can wear home and take a toothbrush/hairbrush, and clothes for your SO if needed. Not only is it all a pain to move around the hospital but you also have to unpack it all once you get home.
