Best Friend/Boyfriend problems.

So my best friend was "talking" this guy and then she ended up cheating on him and getting back with her ex. Long story short, me and her are no longer friends.

The guy she was talking to has started talking to me. And I have always sort of liked him. Even though her and I are no longer friends, am I in the wrong for wanting to talk to him?
