Dockatot - worth it?

Question

I'm looking at the dockatot but it's so expensive! What are your thoughts?

I read a review that said 'it's expensive for what it is, but a bargain for what it does' and I completely agree with that statement.  My LO went from sleeping 30-40 minutes at a time to 4-5 hours. We also found that he sleeps really well when we travel because it can come with us and go in whatever cot he's in, so it feels like home for him. I wouldn't be without one now.

And any sanctimommies who reply with 'it isn't approved/it doesn't follow SIDS guidelines/you'll feel bad if something happens to your baby' can save their breath. I work in product safety assessing hazards and risks, particularly in relation to babies and young children and I'm satisfied that it is safe.

Doesn't follow guidelines for SIDS prevention, but great for supervised naps (from what I've read). Many people use it to cosleep, but my new momma heart can't take that kind of risk with baby, so we will be using a Halo bassinet. About the same price, but MUCH safer.

We have one and use it for cosleeping. Our daughter has slept through the night since she was 3 weeks old in her Dock-A-Tot. We started her in the Halo bassinet and she wouldn't sleep more than 2 hours at a time. She's 12 weeks now and sleeps at least 8 hours a night in her dock! I swear by it. 
Ps this picture was a nap where I was awake .. we put her in a sleep sack at night. No blankets.

I have a nest (handmade dock a tot essentially) that I use for co-sleeping and it works wonders so I imagine the real thing would be even better. If I could justify the money I would've bought one but it just wasn't do-able for us. My cousin has one and swears by it.
