military wife/girlfriends

i'm 16 and my boyfriend(17) of almost 2 years has decided to join the army. i support him 100% and super proud but this summer he is going away for two months. i know this isn't long and if he sticks with the military we are going to be separated for longer but it's our first time and we're both still so young. does any body have any tips on how to make things work and make the distance less of a problem? thank you!
