Aggravated spouse?

Everytime i talk to my husband he tell me that i talk too much and im that aggravating. So the other night we both were cooking all i asked him was if he needed any seasoning (onion etc) cut up. And thats what he said. He geta on my nerves alot but i wont dare tell him that bc i want him to always feel like he cam talk to me. This actually made me cry. I just walked out of the kitchen without saying a word. usually i will argue with him but im tired. Did i over react or not? Is this sometging you would tell your spouse? I try to show him attention but this is what i get in return. So i glue my head into my phone or my child.
