Iud and sex??

So I'm really scared because I'm getting an iud soon and I heard it makes sex really painful.

I had a paraguard iud for a few years. My husband and I could not feel it during sex.

I had mirena IUD. My sex life didnt change but for a bit my SO could feel the string (in certain positions) so I had them shortened a bit while waiting for them to soften.
