nobody has offered to throw us one and i damn sure wasn't going to dish out the money to have my own. so we've been getting things together on our own, but my grandma says i ought to "wait to see what happens with a baby shower". am i tripping?! i would rather be safe than sorry. if we continued to wait, baby girl would have no crib, no car seat, no clothes to wear home from the hospital, no diapers, no nothing. am i wrong for 1. being pissed that nobody has offered to throw us a shower, and 2. for getting stuff together on my own? or should i "wait to see if people will help after she's born"? which i think is stupid since nobody can predict when the baby will come anyway?
