Usually thicker skinned than this

I am engaged to a great guy. We have been together almost 2 years, engaged 1. We had plans to get married right away but had to postpone because one week after getting engaged he was in a very serious car wreck and went months without a job. Any way, fast forward to this week... We are 3 weeks away from our wedding. I recently got a lower paying job at a deli so I could have less demanding hours to go back to school. I work with several people younger than me... Mostly between 16 and 25. My fiance is 26 and I am 33. I have never felt a huge gap in our age until He came in to visit me at work. The next day one of the girls said something paraphrased as "wow he is hot, I thought he was your SON at first." Mind you, I do have a teenage daughter she is 15.... But I seriously do not look like I could have a 26 year old. I brushed it off and actually walked to the bathroom and cried. I usually am tougher than that and it has really been bothering me. I told him about it and he was furious. He thinks it shouldnt bother me. Now I feel like this old cougar that tricked some young stud into getting married. Its really really bothering me so much so that I went and got some new make up and face creams at the store yesterday. My age has never bothered me and he said It has never bothered him but with our wedding coming up so fast I feel like I really need advice to get over this. No one seems to understand how heartbroken it truly made me feel......
