NST contractions

So I had an NST today. I'm 36w2days. It showed that I was having contractions. I completely forgot to ask because I was just so excited but does that mean labor could start soon? Or that I could go early? I'm so ready to meet her I completely blanked when my doctor told me. I felt them but not so strong that I knew what they were. Felt more like a cramp with a little pressure than the contractions I remember with my daughter. Anyone know?
