This maybe dumb but my MIL refers to my baby as "Mimi's baby" it really gets under my skin for two reasons one is that she only texts me asking does Mimi's baby need anything? Or how is Mimi's baby she never asks about me without referring to the baby now that I am pregnant and it works my nerves. The other reason it bothers me is this baby has multiple grandparents so I don't like the idea of any grandparent naming it "theirs" thankfully the baby isn't here yet and maybe it will resolve itself but I feel smothered by her and have had to try to distance myself bc ever since she found out I'm pregnant she wants to come over all the time!
