How did you guys come out?

I'm kind of curious as to how some of you guys came out to your parents or your siblings or your other loved ones, etc. and their reactions, because I like coming out stories, and to give some inspiration for other pals who haven't come out yet and want to, but are just looking for the right way.

Ok so when i was a baby half gay my mom found pictures of girls on my phone and i told her i was bi. Then later the next year i realized i was hella gay and i literally told one of my friends and he screamed it out to the whole cafeteria which idc about it was funny. Then i told my mom some kid called me a dyke and she was like well are you and i said yep. after we moved on with our lives.

I came out to one of my good friends (who I ended up dating) first. then I told my brother and he said he already knew.lol and I told my mom and dad the same day, I told my mom while she was getting ready to go out and I was about to leave for my dad (they're divorced,)  and she was so confused and kinda just freaked out,  I'm also pretty sure she told the family.  then when my dad picked me up I told him, and he said it was a phase and all that crap, but yeah that pretty much it,  sorry if this was a weird description my head is killing me...

I texted my parents on the way home from school. "Mom and dad, I like girls and boys. I know that you guys believe it's an abomination and I'm condemned to hell for being like this, but I know Jesus loves me. I've been baptized." My dad responded with, "I was really hoping I didn't have another child like this." and my mom didn't answer at all. When I got home, we had a huge talk about how I can't tell anyone because they will treat me and the rest of the family different. Now, my parents and I have talked about my sexuality in hateful manners, but I lied and told them it was a silly phase and I'm 100% straight. Sigh. I'm certainly 100% gueer in sexuality and gender identity.

It starts off bad, but not really. I was dating a girl when I was 16 and wanted her to come stay the night (my mother has always been very okay with anything I wanted to do as long as she knew, including having guys stay the night). So like I said, I was 16 and this girl was 22. So I'm walking down the hall and say "Hey mom, what would you say if I told you I liked girls?" and She replied "Well I would hope you were kidding..(while smiling)" and I said "Well that's too bad, because I have a girlfriend" and she says "Oh okay, can I meet her?" so she came and stayed the night. Fast forward to the present.. I am still with this girl, almost 6 years later. I am now 22 and she is 28 😊

One day I jokingly texted one of my guy friends that I liked him. When he responded that he liked me too, I freaked out and my aunt asked me what was wrong. I told her what had just happened, and we both laughed it off. A week later, my aunt asked me if I had feelings for the guy. I told her that I didn't know. She asked me if calling him felt the same as calling Angelica, my best friend. (names have been changed) At the time, I had a huge crush on Angel and said that calling her felt better. My aunt jokingly said "oh, do you like HER or something ?"  When I told her I did, she had the same reaction as if someone told her that I was female. Without any surprise in her voice, she said "oh, ok. She is pretty cute" and went back to looking at her phone. Angelica is and will always be pretty damn straight but right now I am extremely happy with my boyfriend, the guy I pranked.

I said "I'm dating someone. Her name is Ashley". I was 31. In hindsight, maybe not the best way of "coming out" but at that point, I'm an adult with 2 kids, and had been bisexual my whole life. They'd never seen it in action, but I didn't think it'd be a thing. It was. It really was a thing, and now when I marry my wife, we will go to Vegas because my family is kinda f-ed up over it.

i basically just told my mom i liked a girl and she told me she was cool with it as long as i was happy. but after one of my friends found out she told a bunch of people at school and a lot of my other friends were weird about it and treated me differently 😕

I told my aunt but she secretly told my mom...after I got my 3rd girlfriend or my 1st real girl love 💘 i finally told my mom straight up. that was when me and my girlfriend just started dating. now it's been almost 6 months and now my mom knows. I've never felt more relieved in my life. I am currently 14 years old. Hope you find a way but don't let it stay in too long.

I just kind of did lol. It was easy coming out to my friends and some family but it was the hardest coming out to my parents, especially my mum. For now she thinks I'm straight and my dad thinks I'm bisexual but none of them know I'm pansexual. My fiancé knows though 😊 I sort of had to explain how it all worked out and He did have some idea about what pansexuality was lol He was the most adorable little butt face when I was telling Him about everything.
