Late period

I am NEVER late. And I am now on CD 42. Almost 2 weeks late for my period. All negative tests. I have my usual sore boobs and cramping. I've been slightly nauseous. And I went to eat yesterday and was discharging so much I threw a tampon in. When I pulled it out later it had a tiny bit of bloody mucus. I feel like I am about to start. I just don't understand why my cycle is so long! Oh last Friday I had this insanely faint "positive" if you'd even call it that. Read after 3 minutes.... any ideas?
