We went in for our 20 week anatomy scan today. My entire pregnancy, I've been convinced that I was having a boy. My husband and I only picked out boy names and my registry (while fairly gender neutral) had quite a few blue and masculine items mixed in. I based it on the fact that I didn't have much morning sickness, I craved salty food, and the Chinese Gender Chart and all of the old wives tales pointed to boy. Turns out (as any doctor would tell you), none of that is true... we are having a girl! I'm in total shock and my husband is thrilled! I am still very excited and so is everyone that we've told, so I wish I didn't feel just a little bummed that I won't have a little boy this time. Don't get me wrong - I'm incredibly grateful for my healthy, beautiful rainbow baby girl on her way. It's just funny how your expectations can totally change the way you hear the news!
