Procardia

At my 34 week check up yesterday my doctor prescribed me this for the contractions I'm currently having. He said one pill for 10 days. But like what exactly will happen to my body once I'm off the procardia? He said since I'm a week away from being 35 weeks, if anything happens, like I go into labor he's not stopping it. But I'm just curious how fast it'll actually happen? I'm 1cm dilated but my cervix is still closed so I don't think it'll be in the next week but he seems fairly positive that I'll have this baby in the next 3 weeks or so. My little guy weighs 5lb 10oz so he's not concerned about his weight. But I'm not due for another 6 weeks. I just don't want him coming too early.
