Finger tattoos? What are the pros and cons

I want a finger tattoo on my ring finger since I can't fit my ring anymore (thanks pregnancy weight gain) and I want to know more about them?
Any of you have one? Are there any specific colors I should get to prevent fading and repeated touch ups?

I've read that it's better to do little to no detail (like just a band or something) because all the detail will muddle over time since it's such a small place with skin that replaces rapidly.

i have 3 finger tattoos and i am only 14 years old. and i got black because for me i did not have any issues with a fade and i didn't need any touch ups at all they still look brand new and i had them for a 1 year and 2 months and it didn't really hurt like that. i really would get black. But that's my point of view.

I've read things about not getting tattoos while pregnant but I'm not sure if it's true, I'd make sure to look into that. (:

Because of the placement they fade bery quickly, there's no avoiding that. The constant rubbing of the skin and other use that your hands will do is going to make the tattoo fade and you can't stop that. It's a very high maitnance placement.

I have a couple and I love them both, I've had one for three years and the other for one.... neither have faded at all lol and they are a bit more painful than getting one on a fatty place like your leg lol but it's really not that bad.

Finger tatoos dont last long, tatoos on hands and fingers fade really quickly because they get a lot of wear and tear

They are pretty I've always wanted one but never would get one because I've seen first hand how quickly they fade. It's just not worth the money if you ask me.
