so i did a hpt that your supposed to dip in pee in a cup but i peed on it instead will that effect the outcome im 8dpo x

I once dipped my test passed the max line and it was pos- but dipped it in the same urine 2 mins later, neg. I would retest. (I wasn't pregnant that cycle either, so going over that line by over dipping or peeing isn't valid)
