Boyfriends Roommate
I'll be as brief as possible. My bf and I recently started dating in March. He moved in with a female friend of his in April (his bestfriends ex). Apparently they all have a really close friend group. At the time, I couldn't object because it was still so early in the relationship and I currently live with 3 males myself (not close friends). Once they moved in I started feeling like a third wheel either I was an addition to their plans or she was an addition to ours. At first I just let it go because we were a new thing and I wanted to make a good impression on his friends. One time I did bring it up that he double booked himself with me and her (she invited more people) for an event that was just supposed to be us.. his response was apologetic. He explained that she oftens throws plans at him, and he unknowingly agrees. She continued to make plans for them in front of me. For example, we'd be heading out for dinner, she would come home and ask for us to wait for her so she could join. Then at dinner, she would make plans for them by saying something like, "Dan, you never take me to the museum. Can we go to the aquarium? Or we can take a road trip to DC". All in front of me without asking if i would be interested or whatever. This happens ALL of the time. It got to the point where I thought that she may not have any friends. Fast forward to end of May.. we find out I'm pregnant! Of course, unplanned. We agreed that the best thing for both of us would be to move in with each other in November when my lease ends and he will find a sublet for himself. It's almost Aug and she still hasn't acknowledged that he's leaving in Novemeber. She still is pretending like he isn't leaving- making permanent plans for their apartment (ex, painting the house, getting a pet.. etc). When I ask him how the subletting hunt is going, he continues to tell me that she's dragging her feet with helping him find a replacement, as he doesn't want her to live with anyone she's uncomfortable with. I'm stuck. I truly like this girl, but I'm tired of feeling like the third wheel. Any thoughts or suggestions?
