Sorry tmi .. embarrassing

The past few months around my ovulation dates I have had brown discharge when having sex and had to stop it only ever happens once n then goes away I have told the doc and been examined but I'm worried as the smell can be bad as well? Can anyone help? Going to go back to doc as well xx
