60 Days of Pure Hell

I know I've already made posts complaining about my forever period due to having Nexplanon but I'm at my breaking point now.

I've hit day 60 of consecutive bleeding and today is, by far, the worst one yet.

Up until now, I haven't experienced many period symptoms aside from the bleeding (which was minimal but still more than just spotting), sparse headaches, tiny mood swings, and cravings.

But now—oh now!—I have them all, including a heavy flow (tmi?), cramps, and a whole lot of weeping.

Guess my luck ran dry.

I finally have an appointment with an ob/gyn but won't get to see her until August 2nd because their office is always busy with other patients. I have at least 15 more days of potential hell until hopefully something can be done to fix this eternal long period.

I really miss having a "normal" period tbh.

Also, I'm not entirely sure I want Nexplanon removed. Has it caused me pain? Obvi. But it's convenient and easy.

I'm wondering: do I potentially get the mini-pill (in conjunction with having Nexplanon) and hope it helps calm my body down, or do I get Nexplanon removed and switch to another BC (like NuvaRing or the patch)?

Any advice, stories, or comments would be appreciated.

My doctor told me if I got a period that lasted more the. The regular week to call her and she will give another BC on top of the implant to control it

I hope they do see if they can fix it will a pill on top of that and see if it helps instead of ripping it out. I would at least try

Any obgyn would still honor that though, at least they should. I'm at 3 weeks with mine and not any bad side affects YET.

My doctor had a month follow-up to see how Nexplanon was treating me. I was fine then, didn't have a period or weird symptoms. I didn't start experiencing all these weird side effects until AFTER she transferred to an entirely different facility.

I would try the mini pills. It might help. And if you don't take them religiously you will still have the protection of Nexplanon. I had bleeding for three months at a time And was miserable BUT, I didn't get pregnant either. So. 🤷🏼‍♀️
