tummy sleeper..
am I a bad parent for letting my 11 week old sleep on his belly? he's got head control and will turn his head side to side. he REFUSES to sleep on his back. he won't do it no matter if I swaddle him, lay him down drowsy, lay him down asleep. nothing works. as soon as I lay him down, his startle reflex wakes him up and he screams. he's been napping on his belly while I'm around. we share a room as well. but for my own sanity, I let him sleep on his belly. am I a bad parent? I know the SIDS risk, but in previous generations, everyone was told not to let them sleep on their back. so I don't know. I'm going crazy EDIT: he doesn't sleep with a blanket or toys or anything. it's just him, a mattress and thin fitted sheet. I also check on him every other hour. I also have a video monitor that I keep beside me, even though he's across the room from me.
