1 year old vaccines

Barbara

Did any of your babies have an allergic reaction to their 1 year old vaccines?

What vaccines were given at their one year check up? And have you noticed anything different in your little one since the vaccines?

Due to my son's motor delays we had to postpone his one year vaccines. We still are not sure as to what's causing his delays. So his pediatrician recommended that we wait on his vaccines. He is just starting physical therapy... He's made some progress but I'm worried that he might regress or stop making progress if I decide to catch him up with his vaccines... any thoughts?

Just because another child was 'fine' doesn't mean yours will be. I recommend researching, reading all the vaccines inserts. A common side effect of vaccines is brain swelling, often resulting in brain damage for some its mild and other cases are severe. For a doctor who is getting paid and legally not allowed to discourage vaccines to tell you to delay I would take that as a HUGE sign. Your little one doesn't need anymore setbacks. Like everything it's benefit vs risk and considering there are sooo many risks and little benefit it's way to risky for me to ever consider. Trading the possibility of a week of ilness for the possibility of a lifetime of illness will never be worth it to me.

Mine was fine with the vaccines. She was cranky and tired for the rest of the day but that's it.

Mine got a little bump, like a hive, right on the injection site. But it was the same vaccines given previously. He seemed fine otherwise, the bump didn't seem to bother him but I gave him Benadryl just in case.

Yeah that sounds like my son's reaction to his previous vaccines as well.
