Eating salad at a buffet?

Do you think it's okay to eat a buffets salad bar? I'm 25 weeks.

It's fine to eat as long as the place is reputable (ie you haven't gotten sick from their food before, the rule I use for all restaurants)

I personally wouldn't trust a buffet, at all. You don't know if the salad has been washed, and you don't know if anyone touched anything with dirty hands or sneezed on anything

I ate a buffet salad during my first trimester and was fine. Just make sure you feel the place is clean. Lettuce can carry bacteria, so it is a bit of a risk.

We are not supposed to eat anything that's been sitting out due to bacteria (salad bar, potlucks, etc.)
