What does breastfeeding feel like?

I am pregnant and my nipples hurt so bad and they are so dry 😫 I have put cream on them but it is not helping. I can not imagine anything sucking my nipples, let alone another human. I was wondering how bad breastfeeding feels. Also, I have always wondered if it feels the same as when your man sucks on them? Like in a sexual way? Thanks.

Nothing sexual about it.  It hurts like hell the first couple of days.  After breastfeeding for 2 years there is no longer any sexual thought that comes to my nipples other than please don't touch them!

My boobs hurt more during pregnancy than  2 months of breastfeeding. The first couple week were hard but it's easier than bottle feeding

I have also tried coconut oil for cracked or chapped nipples during pregnancy and in between feedings it helps with dry skin period no matter where. I also use it on my eczema and stretch marks.

Mother's Love nipple cream. Best.stuff.ever. With my first I had some cracking and sores the first few days, but once we got the latch corrected it went great. No problems with my second. I had cream on hand, but never needed it. Definitely not sexual. Feels very natural.

Breastfeeding doesn't hurt at first, after a few days the nipples do get chapped and some cracking and bleeding may occur. One remedy for this I have found is wetting a teabag with warm water and applying it between feedings to the nipples. After a week or so the nipples are used to the feedings and it is business as usual. Just get through that first couple weeks and it is pretty smooth sailing after. Good luck!!

It hurt a lot in the beginning. I almost gave up! But I'm glad I didn't because then it got easy and it was great.

the two feel completely different...It is a different kind of hurt if you have breast feeding issues. and those can typically be fixed if you can fix the latch issue. the way they hurt right now will pass eventually
