I saw a news article today about a newborn who contracted hsv-1 from someone kissing her and she died.. now I'm all freaked out about having future kids. I have hsv-2 always genital but I worry about passing it along during birth and causing death or severe infection to my baby. It's really bumming me out to be honest.. I want more kids but I don't want to be selfish and risk infecting them. Plus, what are the chances I could be having oral sex with someone who has hsv-2 as well and contract it orally and end up with outbreaks in/around my mouth? So can I just never have oral sex again because then I'd risk spreading it to my mouth and never be able to kiss my babies?? ugh this is totally bumming me out 😭
