FTM! Membranes stripped! Now what??

Question

I'm 40+3 today and my doctor stripped my membranes. What was everyone else's experience with this?? I was bleeding immediately after he did it and he said that that's normal, and I came home and used the restroom and bled a lot like a light period. Is it true I could go into labor now within the next 24-48 hours? Did anyone have success with this? Let me know :)!

Everyone is different. I had one July 5 started bleeding immediately after he did it. I didn't have my baby girl until July 9. It is possible to go into labor within 49 hours after if you don't it's okay your body will go naturally.

I had mine swept at about 40+3 too.. I had no bleeding, but I was so uncomfortable that night and the next morning I was in tears the whole time. I had no cramping. Just pain in the cervix.. like sharp needles. I have had the most perfect painless easy pregnancy, and that was the first time I really wished the baby would just get out 😩😂. It did nothing for me.. I am now 11 days past due.  I wish you all the best! I hope it works for you!

My doctors NP did it at my 38 week appt and then my OB did it at my last appt on Monday when I was 39+4. Had bleeding and cramping the rest of the day both times but that was it 😭😭 Due tomorrow and so impatient for this little guy to show up!
