The Depo shot????

Hey all, I was wondering if people could share their "needle" experiences with me in the comment section 
I want to get the depo shot as taking the pill was more trouble than help to me,
I just want to make sure it's effective and works!

The pill made me extremely sick so I went on the depo shot and at first I loved it! It's so pain free and much easier being over 3 months. I didn't gain weight or get any side effects. But my doctor never told me that it can make you infertile if your on the depo for too long as it thins out your uterus lining hence why you don't get a period after a while. But having a thin uterus also means it's harder for a baby to stick if your ttc. So I was on it for almost 3 years unknowingly that you only suppose to be on for a year max.. I've been off it for over a month now and still waiting for my period to come back so I know I'm in the all clear 😞
