To be clear, these data represent data collected in 2007 on past incidence of these diseases. This was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

Yup! Not vaccinating your child is irresponsible and selfish. If they can't for medical reasons then that is fair enough. Another reason why i believe those whom are not vaccinated shouldn't be allowed into public school.

I think this chart accurately displays the how efficient vaccines are at protecting the population.
For those that are medically incapable of receiving vaccines, this chart is still scary for them. The anti-vaxxers aren't thinking about our protective bubble of herd immunity.

Seriously though I don't understand why people DONT vaccinate. Unless their kids or themselves literally can't for medical reasons.
You're not putting just your selfish self at risk. You're putting your kids at risk. You're putting MY life at risk. You're putting a little kid with cancer who's immune system is shot, AT RISK.
You could potentially KILL someone, because YOU didn't vaccinate for illegitimate reason. And that's WRONG.
I think certain vaccines should 100% be mandatory. Sorry, but I don't want to die because you think vaccines cause autism (I know it doesn't). Even if it did, I'd much rather have autism than die from polio...

This is great. Unfortunately I think the numbers of cases of disease is actually higher now due to anti-vaxxers ☹️

That's so awesome but also really depressing. In the early 2000s they were so close until a bunch of religious leaders in Tyler India started making up lies about the vaccine castrating muslims. The whole autism stuff is no different. Just imagine how many of those diseases could have been eradicated globally if people weren't so damn gullible. We have the technology to eradicate every single disease on that list(and more) yet we have only managed one. Think not only of the lives and money that eradication in developed countries would save but think also of the monumental effects we would see I developing countries. Child mortality rates would plummet. Rate of long term disability and chronic illness in the adult population would also fall. These countries would see a greater sense of security and more potential for economic growth. Our greatest enemy is ignorance.
