Induction

Due to having gestational diabetes, my doctor has given me the option of being induced next week at 39 weeks. A month ago at my last ultrasound, my baby was measuring 6lbs 3oz. I feel that she has grown a considerable amount since then and my doctor said that she was measuring much larger now, and I feel that she would be fine if I were induced. s who have been induced because I am a first time mom and don't know anyone who has ever been induced. Have you been induced before? How did it go?
