So yesterday I went to my second orthodontic consultation and she said that my bite is great and that if I want to fix my couple front teeth I can just get a metal retainer. I've never heard of anyone doing this instead of braces. I'm excited because I won't have braces for senior pictures but I'm nervous it won't work. She said I only need to wear it at night for 6-8 months. But my last orthodontist said I need Invisalign or braces for 18-24 months. I just don't want to pay a thousand dollars to just spend 6 thousand on braces when it's done because it didn't work. If you had a metal retainer instead of braces did it work or no?
