White dog, black cat? Parrot snake??

I saw a dream where I was in an unfamiliar house, i went into a room and there was a parrot there in a cage, I was staring at it and it transformed to be a colorful snake! I got scared and ran into another room (there were a couple of girls there and i dont know any of them) and i was like the parrot just turned into a snake! And they didnt believe me.

Anyway, i sat with the girls and two pets approached me, a black kitten and a white puppy. A black cat with green eyes was protecting the black kitty so i just pet the white puppy. And while im about to leave and go home, one of the girls give me the puppy and tells me im the owner now.

What does this mean???
