Is this bad for my newborn to sleep in overnight?

I'm looking for a bassinet to use instead of a crib for the first few months. I really like this one but I'm a bit concerned that it won't be good for his neck or back because it is not flat.

They say right in the instruction booklet that they are meant only to be used with supervision and NOT for overnight use. I have heard people using them when their babies have acid reflux, but I would say that's the only time it's okay to use over night

Yes! My doctor said she has been having kids come in with missed shaped head from sleeping in these...... she recommends no more then a few hours a day in then at most

To each their own. Everyone has their own opinion and ultimately it's up to you to decide what will work best. They are constantly changing what they think they know about babies and it will change by this time next year. You will find pros and cons to each situation you come across and I have found that if you live your life by the things that have cons you won't be able to do anything. Everything has a risk that is the biggest realization as a parent you just have to figure out the likelihood of something actually happening

My friend has used one for her daughter since she's breast fed. She's 2 months old and still sleeps in hers. And is perfectly healthy. No neck or back problems. If you're worried, you could try one that's not so angled?

this does not look like something meant for overnight sleeping. in general, Rockers are only meant for naps with parental supervision.  you do not want baby to sleep in anything with cloth covered sides. mesh,  only. once baby starts to move in their sleep, you will find them pressed up against the sides of their bassinet or crib and youll understand why solid sides are a SIDS risk

These are not recommended for overnight sleep. We had a pack and play for overnight and used one of these for naps during the day. Or just as a safe place to put her. Also, the more your newborn sleeps on a flat surface, the easier it will be to transition to a crib when you're ready.

My daughter slept in this beside our bed until about 6 months when she was pulling up and could sit on her own. Then we went to a pack n play in our room.
