Trying to be different for me?

So I have seen this show The OA and I loved it. So I wanted to watch it again with my boyfriend because I thought he would like it. But he kept acting like he liked it , but you could defiantly tell he didn't. I asked him what he rated it and he said a 8. But then he didn't want to ever keep watching so we got into a fight because I knew he was lying. It hurts my feeling he felt like he needed to lie. I'm just really upset. Then he finally admitted he didn't like it and he was just going to lie to make me happy. I don't want him to have to lie. I want him to like what he likes :/ idk I'm just really sad and annoyed
