Starting highschool in 3 weeks and honestly clueless! Please leave advice or tips beloww!!

join sports or whatever you are into. get good grades. don't mess around. make new friends. don't be something your not. have fun 💓

On a lighter note, don't forget to make friends in your classes and join clubs. I know that people tend to act too cool for school activities and gatherings, but they can be a bunch of fun, and a great way to get to know people.

Also, friends groups almost always change once you hit high school, because people will change, but don't let it get to you because true friends will stick by you.

Don't date anyone freshman year. Don't fall for any upperclassmen. Most of them want to take advantage of you. Oh and don't take all AP classes if you don't feel like you can handle them. I've learned from experience to start with regular classes, then if you want a challenge, go sign up for AP classes. BE YOURSELF! Don't try and blend in just to be a part of the cool kids. Chances are you'll lose who you are and regret it. Have fun with your friends this year, go to football games, go to all the school dances even if no one cool is going. But I really can't stress how important it is to focus on your education!!! You need to focus on that the first two years. I guarantee if you do that, the last two years will be a breeze. I didn't do that. I was way too focused on guys and trying to blend in with the cool kids and ended up regretting it my last two years. School always comes first. I do recommend staying for tutoring at least twice a week if you can. Do any extra credit. Make school your first priority this year. Friends and boys can come after

What helped me the most was having a good friends base that had my back. Even if it was just 1 or 2 friends at one point. ❤️ oh and being in marching band hehe #bandgeekforlife

Get good grades and enjoy the easy classes while they last, participate in everything, respect upperclassmen (you will be one them in a few years and you'll get it), hopefully find one as a mentor, don't put up with petty girls/hold your own, let go of the friends that don't work as hard in the relationship as you, wait to date (but if you don't, don't let other people judge you bc it's your life), and most importantly SLOW DOWN. I'll be a senior next year and I would give anything to have a second chance at it. High school goes by in a blink of an eye.

Be carful who you chose as friends. I made friends with a group of older girls and they were alright right up until I met my boyfriend. (He was a junior) and they would always try and get with him behind my back. 
Don't ditch. If you do don't do it all the time like I did cause you'll fall way behind and it's hard to come back up but I did it, it was just harder.

When a teacher says to study notes, do vocab, or get an Agenda DO IT. This stuff will be a lifesaver, and I don't know about other schools, but at my high school vocab could make or break your grade. Studying the night before a test is one of the worst things you can do to yourself. Also, read the material. Even if it's discussed in class, because there will be things your teacher won't talk about that will wind up on the test.

you guys srsly. I'm also starting high school soon. I took band for 3 years in middle school and I wanna change out of it. plus I wanna play tennis but I'm not good at any sports. I took 2 honors classes out of four but now I feel like I should've taken all 4. I took honors math and English. I wanna be an obgyn so I figured planetary science and U.S. history isn't too important. someone please tell me that I did make a mistake. I'm freaking out for school
