herpes and labour worries

I feel disgusting even writing this, I unfortunately managed to contract herpes and I couldn't feel more disgusted with myself, I feel so worried... has anyone had herpes and delivered naturally? Can you have water births? How do you know they are there do they check you before you deliver?? I had my first outbreak 5 and a half years ago and haven't seen them since (touchwood) but I just have this massive feeling they will come visit just before I go into labour!! Experiences would be nice feel free to share and put my mind at ease 😕
