Disappointed with friends

I just kind of wanted to vent I guess

My son has been really sick this weekend, pretty high fever and ear infection

I had made plans with a couple old coworkers to meet for lunch and when I told them what was going on one of the girls replied "mer" in the group chat and the other didnt even reply and neither has asked how he is

My closest friend only replied "eep!" When I told her that we might take my son to the ER if his fever didnt go down.

I just dont get it, if one of my friends had a super sick kid I would be asking how they were and if they needed anything. Or at least wishing them well. I'm just surprised none of these girls had anything to say.

Anyways I'm grateful my sons fever is down now and he is sleeping. Had to give him tylenol and motrin after his fever of 102/103 wouldnt go down.
