I went to pee at 4 am after i was finished I stood up to wipe and a crazy gush of water poured out of me. woke up my SO and our great aunt dropped us off at my hospitals L&D; so she could watch our 19 month old at home. We arrive I'm (39 weeks btw) according to their records I'm actually 40 I tell them i think my water broke and that my doctor was doing to do a membrane sweep tomorrow. instead of checking the fluid first how my first pregnancies hospital did in another city, they admit me hook me up to all monitors, start iv with water, my contractions are 4 minutes apart. They inform me that my doctor went out of town till the 31st and the on call doctor for him was going to see me instead. me panicking because one my doctor didn't mention he was going out of town and 2 I've never met the on call dr. they tell me he can choose to induce me because how far I am. they check my cervix, as i expected I'm no where near dilating I'm at 1cm. they keep me for 4HOURS and then FINALLY check the fluid. the results come back negative they mention it could have just been more urine. I ask when the on call dr is coming and they tell me I'm going home. to follow up with my appointment tomorrow, sending me home with my painful contractions. I call my doctors office pissed and in pain they tell me that they should have NEVER sent me home without being examined and that the on call dr NEVER me tioned he was contacted about me... I'm still having frequent contractions I'm so upset I've been up since 1 am feeling this way.
