Did you grow up with a popular name & did it bother you?

I have never been into super unique/different names, rather ones that are somewhat traditional or old fashioned and just slightly uncommon.

Although we keep coming back to Oliver, which would have been uncommon for our generation, but apparently was in the top 5 boys names last year.

I have an uncommon name and I have always liked it. I always thought it must be annoying for the kids who had to go by their first & last name in school because there were too many Danny's or Lindsey's.

I'm curious to know what other people think about growing up with a common name, especially a top 5 or top 10 name for your birth year.
