Freshman

I'm going into Freshman year this year and I am honestly very afraid. I really want to do good in school but last year, I didn't do so good. My OCD, Anxiety, and Depression got in the way majorly.

Does anybody have any tips, or maybe even a full guide to 'surviving' Freshman year? haha, My teachers have been stressing us about how different High school is compared to Middle School, they'll be more assignments more strict rules, strict teachers, etc. I know I shouldn't let that all go into my head but my Anxiety thinks otherwise.

My goal is high school is to get a scholarship, of course, but you have to be very 'interactive' and stuff. My Anxiety breaks off into Social Anxiety and thats just not good. Also aiming to study abroad..

Thank you to anybody & everybody who decides to comment and help. ❤️

Honestly there's nothing really to be afraid of 😂 just stay away from negativity and the people who you go into the school year with may not be with you when you end the school year its like that every year up in until your senior year. Stay focused because high school is a whole different ball game. Like i said stay hella focused and Make sure you have fun because those 4 years go by fast and before you know it you'll be walking cross that stage or field.

Don't worry, my school starts before most so it's my 3rd day being a freshman, the teachers aren't to hard on you and only get upset if you talk in class, are on your phone, sleeping, late, don't do your work, or just not paying attention. Middle school teachers made high school a lot worse than it actually is, so don't worry!

It depends on the classes you take more more assignments like AP classes. Teachers can be stricter because your getting older so they expect more. I have anxiety too so it's going to be okay, try not to overthink it okay? You'll be fine freshman year. Before you know it you'll be a senior and looking back at the years.

My own high school experience hasn't been great, but I urge you to find good people and focus on your education above all. Make sure you lock down the important credits for a scholarship and graduation. Enjoy your time and put yourself out there for school activities ☺️ put in a lot of effort for your academics because it does get more challenging. As long as you're surrounded by the right kind of people and you don't allow any negativity or bad influences then high school will be good. I've survive three years, and I'm in my last. I wish I did better, but I'm okay with how I am now. I wish you the best years!

Don't walk slow in the hall ways (try not to look lost either) and try to stay in the right group and don't listen to the haters

I hate my school, unless you drink or get high every weekend you ain't s**t (direct quote) I got through it by befriending teachers and the vp( good people to have in your corner for recommendations and such also they would EVER let stuff happen to you) I also researched colleges with my senior friends by march I knew what I wanted to major in ( Advertisement and communications management) where I want to go( Fashion Institute of Technology) and what I need to get in ( 3.5 gpa, resumes) My goal is to leave my town and that is all I work towards

My freshmen year basically sucked but I made tons of friends and of course fought with my bff a lot yet it made our friendship stronger. You don't always loose friends in highschool.

Have You Tried Talking To Someone About Your Anxiety And Stuff? Try Meditating Babe, It Helps Me A lot With Mine. Honestly Freshman Year Is/Isn't The Most Important Year Of High school. I'm Gonna Be A Sophomore This Year, So I Can Tell Ya A Few Things. 1. Always Stay On-Top Of Your Shit. It Can Only Get Overwhelming If You Allow It. It May Not Be As Difficult For You Then It Is For Other Grades, But This Year Really Makes A Difference For Next Year Hun.2. If You Need Help, Always Ask. There's Always Room For Improvement, Plus You Can NEVER Know Enough.3. Don't Be Afraid To Pamper Yourself. Freshman May Make You Feel Stressed. 4. It's A New Experience. Higher Level Type Shit! Have Fun!
