Crazy Cycle

I had an ectopic pregnancy 3 years ago and I took birth control for a short 2 months. EVER since the birth controk my period has been a moody unpredictable pain the the a**. I had never taken it before but my dr recommended it to be sure I would not get pregnant while dealing with the ectopic. It is just starting to regulate itself and I'm getting back to my usual cycle... however, today I am 8 days away from aunt fl and I am having the worst cramps in my lower back and abdomen I have ever had accompanied with sharp pains spidering through my abdomen and nausea . Anyone else have similar issues?
