what's the best birth control for wanting the emotions that come with periods to stop? I'm thinking of maybe the stick under your skin or the shot every 12 weeks. let me know good and bad experiences.

Hard to say, every birth control reacts differently with everyone.

The depo shot was my first birth control, and it was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. It messed me up so bad, I went two cycles (~6 months) then I was fed up. My hair was falling out like crazy, my bone density was decreasing because osteoporosis is a side effect (I could tell because my joints were popping differently than before), weight gain, and I had random spotting for weeks, and a month long period in between the spotting. I am on the pill now, and the side effects from the shot are now reversed (bones back to normal, normal hair fallout, normal period). I was opposed to the pill in the beginning but it really isn't that difficult to take it everyday, like I thought it would be. My acne has cleared up after three months as well. Everyone is different in how they react with different birth controls. I would advise against the shot personally, and start off with something that you can control, like the pill. With the shot, bar, and some IUDs you have no control, and are left for months with uncontrollable hormones. With the pill, it is hormones but you control it because you take it everyday.
