Fetus vs Baby
Why does everyone insist on calling a baby a fetus? I don't understand the distinction and I believe calling a baby a fetus is dehumanizing. It makes me incredibly angry and heartbroken to hear anyone say the word "fetus". I understand, scientifically, that this term is used to describe an infant that is still in the mother's womb, but in modern times, this word is used to dehumanized children so that mothers don't feel as much guilt about abortion and to mislead younger generations about the sanctity of life in the womb- many are uneducated enough to believe that "it's just a clump of cells" even up to the second trimester. It has always been clear that it's human, it's a life, it's innocent, and it's a baby. He or she just hasn't been born yet.
Does anyone else feel a stab in their heart when they hear women talk about "fetuses"?
